Sutile Hit The Northern Part of Taiwan, the Airborne Service Helicopter Rushed to Rescue

In the morning of August 8, 2015, Sutile attacked Taiwan and caused disasters in the northern part, especially the Wulai mountainous area. After receiving the task inform of airborne reconnaissance from the Fire Agency of New Taipei City Government at about 1 on August 9, the Airborne Service Corp, MOI instantly dispatched crews of the Type UH-1H (No. NA-515) from Group 2 (stationed at Songshan) of the 1st Service Battalion to go for rescue. It is found that roads connected Hsinwu and Wulai were broke with heavy loss. Crews of the task plane reported to the ground rescue personnel via wireless. Wang, Hsien-chuan, the captain of the 1st Service Battalion instantly summoned all crews and assigned tasks after they returned to the ground. He urged them to carry goods and materials, medical supplies and people. According to statistics, the Airborne Service Corp totally transported about 34,325 kilos of goods and materials, 1,310 liters of oil and 95 injured persons under the influences of Sutile. Moreover, the Corp rescued 106 persons who trapped in the disaster and transported 140 rescue personnel. Planes of the Corp totally flew 44 sorties and finished the mission successfully.
