NASC rushes to Daxue Mountain for the rescue of a stranded hiker

Squadron 3 of NASC 2nd Wing, stationed at Ching-Chuan-Kang Airport, Taichung, received a phone call from the Duty Command Center at 0630 hour this morning (17th) that a hiker was stranded somewhere in the Daxueshang Mountain at Heping District, Taichung City. The hiker (Mr. Chen, aged 63) sprained his left ankle and suffered large size of bruise and possibly a broken bone and, therefore, called for help. 

Upon receiving the order, a UH-60M Blackhawk, number NA-702, was scrambled for the rescue. The crew started the engine at 0640 hour and took off at 0657, setting the course for Daxue Mountain. The helicopter arrived at the site at 0715 hour, and pulled out from the target area as soon as the crew lifted the injured hiker on board at 0743 hour. At 0757 hour, the helicopter landed at Dongshi Riverside Park and the patient was transferred to a waiting ambulance for a perfect mission.
