  1. After joined the air rescue team in 2002, Chiu has upheld the spirit of aircraft maintenance works as trained by the military to accept NASC rescue trainings and proactively learn therefrom. Chiu has not only saved the lives and ensured the safety of innumerable people, but also successfully completed all missions with tangible performance. With recognition and affirmation from his colleagues and supervisors, Chiu was elected as the 2010 Outstanding Airborne Servicemen of NASC, MOI. Besides, he also entered the working group of NASC’s forward-looking project team to manage the Black Hawk procurement projects and relevant backend works from an overall perspective. With a serious and responsible attitude at work. Chiu has examined a number of letter of offer and acceptance (LOA); reviewed the list of two-year spare parts and demand for machine tools; and conducted issue management.

  5. Was dispatched for the following emergency sorties between Jan and Aug of 2017 (UH-60M):
    Mountain Rescue: 18 sorties.
    Fire rescue: 2 sorties.
  6. Previously served at the BW-234 helicopter corps, Chiu is the rescue crew chief who has abundant experiences in high-mountain rescue missions and heavy helicopter bucket. After transited to the UH-60M helicopter corps, Chiu has well-used his previous work experiences and accomplished all missions with an excellent performance.
