Airborne Service Urgently Search and Rescue A Man Who Fell into the Sea from Chingshui Precipice in Hualien.

At about 10:50 am on September 2, tourists reported a case that somebody fell into the sea and waiting for help nearby the Chingshui Precipice in Hualien. Coast guard crews went to the site after receiving the message and actually found a men fell in the waters nearby the big stone of cliff. It was difficult for ships to get close to him. The crews urgently applied for helicopters of airborne service to execute airborne rescue mission. The Airborne Service Corp instantly dispatched crews of Type UH-1H (No. NA-517) from Group 3 (stationed at Hualien Airport) of the 1st Service Battalion to do search & rescue work. The crews arrived at the target area at 11:31 and found the man dangerously floating there. They determined to save the man by hanging a nacelle from the plane. At about 11:52, the man was sent to the bank by hanging method. Ground staffs took over the rescue. The Airborne Service Corp successfully fulfilled the mission.
