On May 13, 2014, a search & rescue mission for climbers fell into a valley in Jen’ai village. Nearby the Kuantao river in Jen’ai village of Nantou county, two climbers fell into a valley. Type UH-1H (No. NA-510) from Group 2 of the 2nd Service Battalion was dispatched to perform emergency search & rescue mission. High trees on both sides of the valley increased the difficulties of search & rescue. Aloft hanging was implemented. The flight flew 6 sorties and totally 9 hours and 30 minutes during this mission. The mission was successfully fulfilled.
