The closet medical facility is always at the top of list when the Corps is performing an emergency rescue or medical evacuation at remote islands. If it is difficult to transport the patient directly to the hospital designated by Ministry of Health and Welfare, an ambulance will be requested to stand by at the airport, and the patient will be transferred to the ambulance as fast as possible for further treatment.
