2019/04/06 NASC on a rescue mission for a hiker stranded in the Yupolan Mountain

Squadron 3 of NASC 2nd Wing, stationed at Ching-Chuan-Kang Airport, Taichung, received a phone call from the Duty Command Center for a rescue mission in the Yupolan Mountain at Heping District, Taichung City at 1000hour today (6th). It was reported that a hiker, Mr. Chuang, fell off a slope, sprained his ankle and was unable to walk and in need of airlift. 
A UH-60M Blackhawk, no. NA-702, was scrambled for the rescue as soon as the order was received. The engine started at 1020 hour and the helicopter took off at 1032 hour, heading for the target area. At 1153 hour, the helicopter arrived at the site and landed to pick up the wounded hiker at 1055 hour. As soon as the patient was picked up, the helicopter left the target area for the Ching-Chuan-Kang Airport. At 1115 hour, the helicopter landed and the patient was transferred to a waiting ambulance for another perfect rescue.
