2013-9-2 Transfer of a Patient from Penghu Magong to the Main Island for EMS

The 1st team of the 2nd NASC battalion received a notification from the NASC Command Center today (the 2nd) at 00:31: A patient of Penghu Hospital of Ministry of Health Welfare, 蔡O榮 (male, was born in 1953) was suffering from shock and abdominal hemorrhage due to a suspected hepatic tumor rupture. As local hospitals lacked of medical facilities, an EMS to transfer the patient to Kaohsiung International Airport and then Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital was requested. 
After received the notification, the NA-109 flight crew turned on the engine at 00:35, took off from Taichung CCK Airport at 00:52 and landed at Magong Airport at 01:25 to pick up the patient, family member and medical personnel totally 4 people. The helicopter then took off again at 01:35 and landed at Kaohsiung International Airport. The patient was then transported to Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and the flight crew had successfully completed the mission.
