2013-10-1 An Emergency Transport Mission for Ludao Citizen suffered from Head Trauma

A Ludao citizen 陳OO (male, was born in 1943) was suffering from head trauma. As Ludao Health Office lacked of medical facilities and the patient was in a critical condition, an EMS to transfer the patient to Mackay Memorial Hospital Taitung Branch was requested. 
The 3rd team of the 3rd NASC battalion received a notification from the NASC Duty Command Center at 06:40 today (the 1st) to implement the air transport mission. The standby flight crew immediately completed related works and dispatched UH-1H helicopter number NA-512 to implement the mission. The helicopter took off at 07:05 towards Ludao with a nurse on board and landed at Ludao Airport at 07:22. After picked up 1 patient and 1 family member, it took off from Ludao at 07:30 and landed at Taitung at 07:48. The patient was transported to Mackay Memorial Hospital Taitung Branch by the ground ambulance for treatment and the mission was successfully completed.
