The helicopter number NA-505 of the 1st team of the 3rd NASC battalion implemented the EMS rescue mission of the Hong Kong Container Ship OCEAN LADY located 10 nautical miles outside Zuoying: A male Indonesian sailor injured his right and required an immediate medical transfer. After received the command, the helicopter had its engine turned on at 09:50 and took off at 09:55. It reached the target zone at 10:09 and hovered around to conduct an aerial survey. After confirmed that the cargo ship was the target, it directly landed on Point H of the container ship based on sailor’s gesture commands and picked up the patient. It took off from the ship at 10:11 and arrived in the base in Tainan at 10:25. The patient was then passed over to the ambulance of Tainan City Fire Department and transported to National Cheng Kung University Hospital for treatment. The NASC members had once again completed the respectable mission.
