2013-10-8 Emergency Transfer of a Ludao Citizen suffered from Drowning

Ludao citizen, 施○○ (male, was born in 1957) suffered from drowning accepted first aid from the Ludao Health Office and had his life signal recovered. Nevertheless, the patient was in a critical condition and local hospital lacked of medical facilities, an EMS was requested to transfer the patient to Taitung Hospital of Ministry of Health Welfare for treatment. 
A call was received from the NASC Duty Command Center at 09:33 today (the 8th) to implement the Ludao EMS transfer mission. The standby crew immediately completed relevant works and dispatched UH-1H helicopter number NA-512 to take off at 09:45. With a nurse on board, the helicopter headed directly to Ludao and landed at Ludao Airport at 10:00 to pick up the patient and 1 family member. The helicopter took off from Ludao at 10:05 and returned to Taitung Airport. After landed at Taitung Airport at 10:20, the patient was transferred to Taitung Hospital of Ministry of Health Welfare by the ambulance for treatment. The mission was successfully completed.
