The 1st team of the 2nd NASC battalion received a notification from the NASC Duty Command Center at 00:40 today (the 3rd): A patient of Kinmen Hospital of Ministry of Health Welfare 楊O源 (male, was born in the 1951) was suffering from myocardial infarction. As the hospital lacked of medical facilities, an EMS to transfer the patient to Taipei Veterans General Hospital was requested.
After received command, the team immediately dispatched AS-365 helicopter number NA-107 to implement the mission. The helicopter had its engine turned on at 00:50, took off from Taichung CCK Airport at 01:05, landed at Kinmen Airport at 02:20, and turned off the engine at 02:25. After picked up the patient, family member and medical personnel totally 3 people, the helicopter had its engine turned on at 02:45, took off at 02:55 and landed at Taipei Songshan Airport at 04:50. The patient was transported to Taipei Veterans General Hospital by the ambulance and the mission was successfully completed.
