2013-11-20 Transfer of a Patient suffered from Acute Stroke from Lienchiang Dongyin

The 1st team of the 1st NASC battalion received a notification from the NASC Duty Command Center today (the 20th): A Lienchiang citizen 洪O卿 (male, was born in 1951) was suffering from acute stroke and required proactive intensive care. After the evaluation of Dongyin Health Office, an EMS to transfer the patient to the main island of treatment was requested due to lack of local medical facilities. 
After received the order, the flight crew immediately completed the flight plan, risk evaluation and pre-flight prompts. After took off at 08:19, the helicopter maintained the largest horsepower and headed to the outlying island on the direction of Tamsui with VFR (Visual Flight Rules) implemented. At 09:06, the helicopter landed at Matsu Nangan Airport and picked up the patient, patient’s colleague and medical personnel totally 3 people. At 09:16, it took off again from Nangan Airport and landed at Taipei Songshan airport at 10:10. The patient was then passed to medical personnel and transferred to hospital. The mission was successfully completed.
