2013-11-24 NASC completed the EMS Mission for a Kinmen Citizen suffered from Acute Inflammation Due to Accidental Ingestion

An EMS to transfer two Kinmen citizens -王O翔 (male, was born in 2012) was suffering from acute inflammation and 蔡O哲 (male, was born in 2010), who accidentally ate mercury battery required proactive intensive care - to the main island for treatment was requested as Kinmen Hospital lacked of local medical facilities. 
After received the EMS command from the NASC Command Center, the 1st team of the 1st NASC battalion stationed in Taipei Songshan Airport dispatched AS-365 helicopter number NA-109 to implement the mission. The helicopter took off from Taipei Songshan Airport at 23:52 on the 23rd. With the maximum and constant horsepower, the helicopter landed at Kinmen Airport at 01:18 on the 2nd day (the 24th). After picked up the patients, family members and medical personnel totally 6 people, the helicopter then took off from Kinmen Airport at 01:42 and returned to Taipei. At 03:12, it landed at the apron of Taipei Songshan Airport and the patients were transported by the ambulance to hospital for treatment. This mission was successfully completed.
