2013-11-24 Transfer of a Patient from Kinmen to the Main Island for EMS

A Kinmen patient 陳O蒼 (male, 81 years old) was suffering from myocardial infarction. As the patient was in a critical condition, an EMS to transfer the patient to Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital was requested. 
NASC commanded the 2nd team of the 3rd battalion stationed in Kaohsiung to dispatch AS-365 Dolphin Helicopter number NA-104 to implement the Kinmen EMS mission. As soon as the standby crew received the notice, the mission was immediately implemented with pre-flight prompts firstly performed. The helicopter had its engine turned on at 17:25, took off at 17:30 and headed directly to Kinmen. Based on the spirit of saving lives, the flight crew travelled with the fastest speed and landed at Kinmen at 18:45 and turned off the engine at 18:50 to refuel. After picked up the patient, family member and medical personnel totally 3 people, the crew restarted the engine at 19:15 and took off at 19:20 on the direction to Kaohsiung. At 20:40, it landed at Kaohsiung International Airport and the standby the ambulance immediately transported the patient to Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital for treatment.
