A Kinmen citizen 莊O為 (male, was born in 1974) was suffering from neuropathic malignant syndrome and required proactive intensive care. After the evaluation of Kinmen Hospital, it was confirmed that local lacked of medical facilities and an EMS to transfer the patient to the main island for treatment was requested.
After received the EMS order, the 1st team of the 1st NASC battalion took off from Taipei Songshan Airport at 02:37 on the 28th. With the maximum and constant horsepower, the helicopter landed at Kinmen Airport at 04:15 to pick up the patient, family member and medical personnel totally 3 people. It then took off from Kinmen Airport at 04:50 and returned to Taipei. After it landed at the apron of Taipei Songshan Airport at 06:38, the ground medical personnel then transported the patient to Tri-Service General Hospital for treatment. This mission was successfully completed.
