2013-12-21 Transfer of a Patient from Magong to the Main Island for EMS

The 2nd team of the 3rd NASC battalion stationed in Kaohsiung Airport received a notification from the NASC Duty Command Center today (the 21st): A Magong citizen 洪O玉 (female, 53 years old) suffered from esophagus burn (3rd degree) was in a critical condition, an EMS to transfer the patient to Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital on the main island was required immediately. 
After received the command, the team immediately dispatched AS-365 Dolphin Helicopter number NA-104 to implement the Magong EMS mission. After the standby crew performed pre-flight prompts, the helicopter had its engine turned on at 14:10 and took off at 14:15 and directly towards Magong. Based on the spirit of saving lives, the flight crew travelled with the fastest speed and landed at Magong at 15:00. The helicopter then took off again and headed to Kaohsiung at 15:05. After it landed at Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital at 15:30, the patient was immediately took care by medical personnel and this outlying islands EMS mission was successfully completed.
