2014-1-1 Emergency Transfer of the Fengliji Fishing Boat Sailor

The 1st team of the 2nd NASC battalion stationed in Taichung CCK received a notification from the NASC Duty Command Center today (the 1st): At 11:53, the Donggang Fishery Radio Station reported to National Rescue Command Center that a sailor on the Fengliji fishing boat located 100 nautical miles southwest of Kaohsiung Xiaogang was unable to urinate and was vomiting. As the sailor’s condition was getting worse, an EMS to transfer the patient to hospital was requested. 
After received the command, the AS-365 Dolphin Helicopter number NA-104 was dispatched to implement the rescue hoist mission to save the foreign sailor. After performed pre-flight prompts, the flight crew immediately took off at 12:35. Upholding the spirit of saving lives, the crew members did their best to rescue the patient. The helicopter confirmed the target at 13:20 and successfully moved the patient in the helicopter at 13:30. As the patient’s condition was getting worse, the crew had returned to Kaohsiung International Airport with the maximum horsepower and the fastest speed. After the helicopter landed at Kaohsiung International Airport at 14:20, the patient, who was still in a conscious state, was transported to Kaohsiung Municipal Hsiao-Kang Hospital by the ambulance for treatment.
