Ludao citizen余OO (male, was born in 1969) suffered from suspected peritonitis was sent to Ludao Health Office for treatment. As the office lacked of medical facilities and the patient was in a critical condition, an EMS to transfer the patient to Taitung Hospital of Ministry of Health Welfare was requested.
The 3rd team of the 3rd NASC battalion received the notification from the NASC Duty Command Center at 23:50 yesterday (the 4th) to implement the Ludao air transfer mission. The standby crew then immediate completed relevant works and dispatched UH-1H helicopter NA-512 to implement the mission. The helicopter took off at 00:20 today (the 5th) and directly headed to Ludao with a nurse on board. After landed at Ludao Airport at 00:40 and picked up 1 patient and 1 family member, the helicopter then took off from Ludao at 00:45 and landed at Taitung at 01:10. The patient was then transported to Taitung Hospital of Ministry of Health Welfare by the ambulance. The mission was successfully completed.
