2014-1-8 Emergency Transfer of a Ludao Citizen suffered from Nasal Fracture Caused by Head Trauma

The 3rd team of the 3rd NASC battalion stationed in Taitung Fengnian received a notification from the NASC Duty Command Center at 09:50 today (the 8th): A Ludao citizen李OO (male, was born in 1957) suffered from nasal fracture caused by head trauma was delivered to local Health Office for first aid. However, as the office lacked of medical facilities and the patient was in a critical condition, an EMS to transfer the patient to Mackay Memorial Hospital Taitung Branch was requested. 
After received the notification, the team immediately dispatched UH-1H helicopter number NA-512 to implement the Ludao air transfer mission. After the standby crew completed related works including pre-flight prompts, the helicopter then immediately took off at 10:05 and headed to Ludao with a nurse on board. It arrived in Ludao Airport at 10:22 and picked a patient and a family member. At 10:27, the helicopter took off from Ludao and landed at Taitung Airport at 10:43. The ambulance on the ground then immediately transported the patient to Mackay Memorial Hospital Taitung Branch for treatment. The mission was successfully completed.
