2014-2-24 Emergency Transfer of a Ludao Citizen suffered from suspected Intracranial Hemorrhage

A Ludao citizen, 林○○ (male, was born in 1968), suffered from suspected intracerebral hemorrhage and was taken to Ludao Health Office for first aid. As the patient was in a critical condition and local hospital lacked of medical facilities, an EMS was requested to transfer the patient to Taitung Hospital of Ministry of Health Welfare for treatment. 
A call was received from the NASC Duty Command Center at 17:25 today (the 4th) to implement the Ludao EMS transfer mission. The standby crew immediately completed relevant works and UH-1H helicopter number NA-512 took off at 18:00. With a nurse on board, the helicopter headed directly to Ludao and landed at Ludao Airport at 18:25 to pick up the patient and 1 family member. It then took off from Ludao at 18:28 and returned to Taitung Airport. The helicopter landed at 18:45 and the patient was immediately transferred to Taitung Hospital of Ministry of Health Welfare by the ambulance for treatment. The mission was successfully completed.
