2014-3-4 NASC completed the Emergency Rescue Mission of a Kinmen Citizen suffered from Respiratory Failure for Intubate Treatment

A citizen of Kinmen County, 何○川 (male, was born in 1942), suffered from serious hemoptysis and respiratory failure required an active and intensive medical care. After the evaluation of Kinmen Hospital, it was confirmed that the hospital lacked of medical facilities and an EMS to transfer the patient to the main island for treatment was requested. 
The 1st team of the 1st NASC battalion received a notification from the NASC Duty Command Center today (the 4th) at 21:54 to implement an EMS transfer mission. The NA-101 was dispatched to take off from Songshan Airport at 22:32 and flew along the A1-W6 route at height of 6,000ft with the maximum horsepower. It landed at Kinmen Airport on 5 March at 00:25. After picked up 5 members including the patient, two family members and 2 medical personnel, it immediately took off from Kinmen Airport at 01:02 and flew back to Songshan along the same route. The helicopter landed at Songshan Airport at 02:35 and the patient was transferred to Taipei Veterans General Hospital by medical personnel for further treatment. The mission was successfully completed.
