The 2nd team of the 3rd NASC battalion received a notification from the NASC Duty Command Center today (the 11th) at 19:15 to implement the Lanyu EMS transfer mission. The standby crew immediately implemented the mission with pre-flight prompts firstly performed. The helicopter located at Kaohsiung International Airport had its engine turned on at 19:30 and took off at 19:40 towards Lanyu. Based on the spirit of saving lives, the flight crew travelled with the fastest speed and landed at Lanyu at 20:35. After it took off at 20:45, it then headed to Taitung Airport to pick up 3 members including the patient, family member and medical personnel. It landed at Taitung Airport at 21:05 and the ambulance immediately transferred the patient to Mackay Memorial Hospital Taitung Branch. This outlying islands EMS mission was successfully completed.
