2014-3-17 Transfer of a Patient from Kinmen to the Main Island for EMS

The 1st team of the 2nd NASC battalion received a notification from the NASC Duty Command Center today (the 17th) at 06:40 (fax information to be provided afterwards): A patient of Kinmen Hospital of Ministry of Health Welfare, new born baby of黃O美, was suffered from suspected acute gastrointestinal bleeding. As Kinmen Hospital lacked of medical facilities, an EMS was applied to transfer the patient to Taipei Veterans General Hospital for treatment. 
After received the notification, the standby crew of NA-107 turned on the engine at 07:00 and took off from Taichung CCK Airport at 07:12. It landed at Kinmen Airport at 08:25 and turned off the engine at 08:30 to refuel and to pick up the patient, 1 family member, 1 doctor and 1 nurse. Later at 09:00, the helicopter had its engine turned on again and took off at 09:07. It landed at Taipei Veterans General Hospital at 10:35 and the patient was taken away for treatment. The helicopter took off from Taipei Songshan Airport at 10:40. After it reached the destination, the flight crew turned off the engine and refueled. The mission was completed.
