2014-3-20 Transfer of a Patient from Kinmen to the Main Island for EMS

The 1st team of the 3rd NASC battalion stationed in CCK received a notification from the NASC Duty Command Center today (the 21st): A patient of Kinmen Hospital of Ministry of Health Welfare, a new born baby of 蔡O函, was suffered from suspected respiratory distress syndrome. As Kinmen Hospital lacked of medical facilities, an EMS was applied to transfer the patient to Taipei Veterans General Hospital for treatment. 
After received order from the NASC Duty Command Center, the team immediately dispatched AS-365 Dolphin helicopter number NA-107 to implement the Kinmen EMS mission. The standby crew immediately implemented the mission with pre-flight prompts firstly performed. The standby crew of NA-107 turned on the engine at 15:35 and took off from Taichung CCK Airport at 15:40. It landed at Kinmen Airport at 16:40 to refuel and pick up 1 patient, 1 family member, 1 doctor and 1 nurse. Later at 17:10, the helicopter had its engine turned on and took off at 17:15, headed back to Taipei Songshan International Airport. After the helicopter landed at the Taipei Songshan International Airport at 19:24, the ambulance immediately transferred the patient to Taipei Veterans General Hospital for treatment. The mission was successfully completed.
