2014-03-25 Emergency Transfer of a Ludao Tourist suffered from Suspected Chest Pain and Aortic Dissection

A Ludao tourist, 朱○○ (male, was born in 1959), suffered from suspected chest pain and aortic dissection was given the first aid by the Health Office. As the office lacked of medical facilities and the patient was in a critical condition, an EMS transfer by the helicopter was requested to transfer the patient to Taitung Hospital of Ministry of Health Welfare for treatment. 
The 3rd team of the 3rd NASC battalion received a notification from the NASC Duty Command Center today (the 25th) at 17:50 to implement the Ludao EMS transfer mission. The standby crew immediately completed relevant works and UH-1H helicopter number NA-512 was dispatched to implement the mission. The helicopter took off at 18:10 and headed directly to Ludao. At 18:24, it landed at Ludao Airport to pick up 1 patient, 1 family member and 1 nurse. The helicopter then took off from Ludao at 18:29 and returned to Taitung Airport. After it landed at 18:55, the patient was transferred to Mackay Memorial Hospital Taitung Branch by the ambulance for treatment. The mission was successfully completed.
