2014-4-5 NASC completed the Emergency Rescue Mission of a Child Patient from Kinmen suffered from Intussusception

A Kinmen child, 楊○瑞 (male, was born in 2012), suffered from intussusception required an active and intensive medical care. After the evaluation of Kinmen Hospital, it was confirmed that the hospital lacked of medical facilities and an EMS to transfer the patient to the main island for treatment was requested. 
The 1st team of the 1st NASC battalion received a notification from the NASC Duty Command Center today (the 5th) at 22:21 to implement EMS transfer mission. The NA109 was dispatched and took off from Songshan Airport at 22:55. The helicopter flew along the A1-W6 route at height of 6,000ft with the maximum horsepower. NDB landed at Kinmen Airport on the 6th at 00:30. After picked up four members including the patient, family members and medical personnel, it then took off from Kinmen Airport at 01:00 and returned to Songshan along the same route. At 02:47, ILS landed at Songshan Airport and the patient was transferred to Taipei Veterans General Hospital by medical personnel for the further treatment. The mission was successfully completed.
