S.E.A. (Survival Egress Air) MK breathing device

The S.E.A. (Survival Egress Air) MK is by far the most advanced underwater breather in the world for survival of helicopter crews in emergency conditions. It is the 2nd generation of HABD (Helicopter Aircrew Breathing Device) SRU \ 40B / P. The HABD has been adopted extensively around the world ever since it was launched in 1997, and is now a standard piece of survival gear for US Navy and Marine Corps. S.E.A. MK is an improvement of HABD, as it is more compact and lightweight, easier to operate and more ergonomic.

MK-3 flare launcher

Features:

  • The kit consists of a pencil-shaped launcher and 8 flares.
  • Launch height: approximately 85m or so (vertically)
  • Flare burning time: 5~7 seconds/shot

  • Visibility: 5 miles at daytime and 10 miles in nighttime

 

Instructions:

  1. Take the launcher out of the plastic container.
  2. Pull the magazine cover to expose the first flare.
  3. Spin the launcher onto the threaded base of the launcher and pull the launcher out along with the flare.
  4. Hold the launcher with the arm stretching vertically up, making the launcher higher than and away from the face. Squeeze the trigger and release quickly to fire the flare.
  5. Remove the spent cartridge and repeat Steps 2 through 4.
RED HANDFLARE, MK.8

Features:

  • Brightness: 15,000 candelas
  • Burning time: 60 seconds
  • Flare color: red
  • The operator shall stay at upwind of the flare.
  • The flare will keep burning in water after ignition.

 

Instructions:

  1. Pull out red end until telescopic tube is fully extended and engaged.
  2. Unscrew red end cap and point away.
  3. Pull ball out sharply to fire.
  4. Hold at arms length. Point Downwind. End plug ejects after 2 seconds delay.
