The UH-60M Blackhawk flies farther and faster than its older brothers and sisters, and has the ability to fly in the dangerous terrains more than 3,000m above sea level and achieve nighttime search and rescue missions, a great improvement in the 3-dimensional search and rescue performance. From Jul 2016, when they flew their first rescue mission to Jun 30 2017, Blackhawks have flown 241 sorties, including 125 sorties of fire rescue (accounting for 96.15% of fire rescue by all helicopter fleets during the same period), 83 sorties of mountain search and rescue (accounting for 50.61% of the same mission during the same period) and 33 sorties of rescue at sea and transportation. Blackhawks have done its jobs perfectly and delivered successful air rescue missions.
Any school, department or group that is interested is more than welcomed to apply for a visit to the National Airborne Service Corps at Songshan Taipei, Chingchuankang Taichung, Xiaogang Kaohsiung and Fengnien Airport Taitung.
