2014-12-15 Completed the Rescue Mission of a Citizen Stuck in Bitou Cape

NASC received report from CGA that a citizen戴○○ (female) located below the Bitou Cape Light House was unable to move due to foot sprain and immediately dispatched the 1st team of the 1st NASC battalion to implement the helicopter EMS transfer mission. 
After took off from Songshan Airport at 17:06, the standby crew reached the target zone at 17:15 through Keelung. The pilot firstly implemented high and low aerial survey and then described and confirmed procedures of the hoist operation with the flight crew. As the weather was dim and the target zone was in a vertical and steep cliff with wind and air turbulence, the flight crew still overcame all the difficulties to implement the hoist operation based on the spirit of saving lives. After hoisted the stuck citizen up to the cabin at 17:27, the helicopter immediately returned to Songshan Airport. After the helicopter landed at Songshan Airport at 17:39, the patient was passed to the ground rescue personnel for treatment. The mission was successfully completed.
