The 1st team of the 2nd NASC battalion(Ministry of the Interior) received a notification from the NASC Duty Command Center at 17:45 today (the 20th): A patient of Kinmen Hospital of Ministry of Health Welfare,陳O軒 (male, was born in 2012) suffered from epilepsy and suspected central nervous system (CNS) infection requested an EMS transfer to transfer the patient to Taipei Veterans General Hospital as Kinmen Hospital lacked of medical facilities.
After received the notification, the NA-109 flight crew turned on the engine at 18:05 and took off from Taichung CCK Airport at 18:15. It landed at Kinmen Airport at 19:15 and turned off the engine at 19:20 to refuel and to pick up the patient, 1 family member and 1 medical personnel. It then turned on the engine at 19:40 and took off at 19:45. After it landed at Taipei Songshan Airport at 21:30, the patient was transferred to Taipei Veterans General Hospital for treatment by medical personnel and the mission was successfully completed.
