2019/05/13 NASC implemented a mountain rescue mission in the North Peak of Syue Mountain (Snow Mountain)

Today (the 13th) at 09:41, Squadron 3 of the NASC 2nd Wing stationed in Taichung International Airport received an emergency call from the NASC Duty Command Center, requesting it to rescue a hiker located in Syuebei Cabin in Tai-an Township, Miaoli County. The male hiker (Mr. Yeh) who suffered from limb fatigue and sprained bloated left foot applied for air rescue due to difficulty in walking.

Upon receiving the order from the command, the Squadron immediately dispatched a UH-60M Black Hawk numbered NA-702 to implement the mission. The helicopter had its engine turned on at 09:55, and took off at 10:06 and headed directly to Syuebei Cabin. At 10:28, the helicopter reached the target zone, hoisted the patient to safety at 10:50 and immediately left the target zone. At 11:10, the helicopter landed at Dongshi Riverside Park and handed the patient over to the ambulance for treatment. At 11:13, the helicopter took off again and landed at Taichung International Airport at 11:30. The EMS mission was completed successfully.
