2014-12-25 NASC completed the Emergency Rescue Mission of a Kinmen Patient suffered from Acute Mycardial Infarction

The 1st team of the 1st NASC battalion stationed in Taipei Songshan Airport received a notification from the NASC Duty Command Center today (the 25th): A patient of Kinmen, 許○文 (male, was born in 1945), suffered from acute myocardial infarction required an active and intensive medical care. After the evaluation of Kinmen Hospital, it was confirmed that local hospital lacked of medical facilities and an EMS to transfer the patient to the main island was requested. 
After received the order from the command center, the team immediately dispatched AS-365 Dolphin helicopter number NA-106 to implement the Kinmen EMS mission. The standby crew immediately implemented the mission with pre-flight prompts firstly performed. The helicopter took off from the Taipei Songshan Airport at 02:25 and headed to Kinmen at 02:42. It flew at a height of 6,000 ft along the A1-W6 route with the maximum horsepower and landed at Kinmen Airport at 04:25 to pick up the patient, family member and medical personnel, totally 5 people. At 04:58, it took off from Kinmen Airport and returned to Songshan along the same route. ILS entered the air control center at 06:39 and maintained the VFR. After the helicopter landed at the Veterans General Hospital, medical personnel then took care of the patient by performing the following treatment. The helicopter took off from Veterans General Hospital at 06:46 and returned to Songshan Airport. The mission was successfully completed.
